Sonnet's Solo5G is a compact, fanless multi-Gigabit Ethernet adapter for Mac, Windows, and Linux computers, in an aluminum enclosure measuring just 1.2 x 3.2 x 0.7 inches. Featuring NBASE-T (multi-Gigabit) Ethernet technology, it adds 5GbE, 2.5GbE, and Gigabit (GbE) network connectivity over the existing Cat 5e-or-better Ethernet cabling already installed in most buildings.
The adapter connects via USB-C and provides a standard RJ45 port with link and activity LED indicators, supporting 5GbE (5GBASE-T) connectivity at distances of up to 100 meters — a budget-friendly way to bring fast wired networking to any Thunderbolt/USB-C computer.
