Four independently configurable 3G-SDI connections on a single 8-lane PCIe 2.0 card — set each one as input or output to match the job, SD through 4K/UltraHD at high frame rates. 16 channels of embedded audio per connection (up to 64 total) travel with the video, and RGB 4:4:4 12-bit or YCbCr 4:2:2 10-bit workflows are both supported without a separate signal path.
A built-in RS-422 port handles frame-accurate control of external decks for ingest and layoff. Runs on AJA's own driver stack rather than a third-party SDK, so it works directly with the major NLEs and capture applications without extra glue software.
